This project was built in the Linn Mar School District.  Price Electric’s BIM Team, VCS, coordinated all work between mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades on site, ensuring that the building envelope could be completed before winter set in with minimal interruption.  The COVID-19 pandemic threw additional obstacles in our way that we could not have anticipated when the project commenced.  This included maximum occupancies in working areas, daily temperature checks, and rampant absenteeism for the sake of ensuring we did our part to stop the spread of the virus.  The area was also hit by a historic Derecho windstorm, which compromised the building’s roof, with 50% of the gym room having been completely removed. Electrical utilities were knocked out for weeks following the storm.  Price Electric’s team brought in and connected generators to energize the building and facilitate cleaning and restoration.  Many electrical installations were compromised by this event, and Price Electric had to mobilize our manpower to bring the building back to where it was before the storm, ensuring that school could maintain its scheduled grand opening.
