Meet Nathan Kuennen, one of Price Electric’s People You Can Rely On. Nathan is a Price Electric large project foreman and has been with Price Electric for fifteen years. One of his proudest moments came during the aftermath of the derecho storm that damaged Cedar Rapids when an employee from Weitz Construction told him, “Thank you for what you and your company are doing for us.” Nathan identifies and lives all of the Price Electric Core Values so much that he couldn’t pick just one favorite. What has been your favorite project at Price Electric so far, and why?
“There have been so many great projects, I would have to say it would be the Cedar Rapids Wastewater Treatment Facility chlorine treatment addition. Making the exposed conduit look great is something that I take pride in.”
What are three things that most people don’t know about you?
- I’ve been to Oahu, HI
- I have five siblings.
- I’m left-handed.
What is your favorite meal?
My mom’s goulash.

What is the best vacation that you have had?
Van Meter took a group of us to Breckinridge, Co. to go downhill skiing. Our group has gone there nine straight years.
What is your family like?
My family is fun, close, smart, and very musical. I grew up with a musical family who played and sang together whenever we got together. My grandma played the organ, aunt on the accordion, and other members played the flute, violin.
Can you give advice (in 5 words or less) for others thinking about a profession with Price Electric?
Price Electric is a career!
When are you happiest?
I’m happy at work when we turn over a project to the owner/customer, and it makes their operations easier.
