Price Electric was privileged to be involved in the esteemed Shelter House Project at 501 Southgate Ave in Iowa City.
This project encompassed a new cutting-edge facility adjacent to their Emergency Shelter house. It features an impressive array of thirty-six apartment-style rooms on the second and third floors, while the first floor accommodates eleven essential offices. These include a welcoming lobby, staffroom, break area, meeting room, medical clinic, outreach room, tenant multipurpose room, exam room, laundry room, kitchen, and reception area for streamlined check-ins and check-outs.
Price Electric completed all electrical wiring and related work for this significant undertaking. Our responsibilities extended to lighting controls and overseeing the implementation of low-voltage fire alarm systems throughout the facility. While managing these vital aspects of the project, we prioritized safety while maintaining high-quality standards.
This remarkable Shelter House offers refuge and an improved quality of life for those in need. Their comprehensive programs and support services encompass housing assistance, employment opportunities, and mental health recovery resources. These initiatives uplift countless adults, children, and families year after year by helping them regain stability.
Since successfully completing the Shelter House Project, Price Electric has remained engaged by sponsoring various charity fundraising events for this commendable organization. We take great pride in being associated with an establishment that demonstrates compassion towards those who require assistance.
