The Gardens Assisted Living Center, a state-of-the-art facility spanning 75,000 square feet, is a testament to Price Electric’s expertise in New Construction Commercial Electrical projects. The project leveraged Price Electric’s Utility division, BIM for 3D Models, and the Prefabrication department.
The facility caters to a wide range of resident needs, with 40 skilled nursing care units, 12 memory care units, and 30 assisted living units. To ensure an uninterrupted power supply for life safety, emergency, and standard circuits, Price Electric installed a 1000KW Generator with three automatic transfer switches.
Price Electric self-performed all electrical work, which included:
- Assembly of metal-clad cable rough-in kits for units by the prefabrication team
- Site lighting
- Installation of a 1000KW backup generator
- Underground installation and underground work as required for site lighting and underground conduits
- Primary conduit for utility pedestals/handholes
- Power distribution, branch power, equipment connections, lighting fixtures, and lighting controls
- Installation of 1000KW backup generator
- Wiring devices, disconnect switches, fuses, motor controllers, reduced voltage motor controllers, variable frequency drives, generators, transfer switches, surge protection devices, interior lighting, emergency lighting, and all other site lighting
Residents enjoy various amenities, including a chef-inspired commercial kitchen, multiple fireplaces and spas, and a workout room. The ambiance and functionality of the space are enhanced by an intricate low-voltage lighting control system.
The Gardens Assisted Living Center symbolizes Price Electric’s dedication to providing top-notch, comprehensive electrical solutions.
Price Electric was awarded an ABC of Iowa Award of Excellence in Construction Award for this project.
