Boasting an impressive 170,000 square feet within three-stories, the Administrative Services Building for the Cedar Rapids School District is a state of the art facility. Home to the administrative facilities for the entire school district, the building also required mechanics facilities, a carpentry shop, warehousing, school bus wash and parking lots, a print shop, amphitheater, safe rooms, and additional maintenance shops throughout the building. We completed the lighting and power distribution systems, as well as the structured cabling, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems, audio-video system, as well as advanced lighting control and dimming system. With a tight deadline and challenging schedule requirements, our team had to execute to the extreme. We utilized 3D modeling and prefabricated the components of the project in a controlled environment. Prefabricating parts of the project ensured that when we were on-site, we were able to work more quickly and efficiently.
