What are some of your roles and responsibilities?
As Price Electric’s Assistant Project Manager, Jen does various support jobs, including bidding, generating monthly reports, billing, documentation project updates, supporting and setting up jobs in computer ease, and more. In addition, she enjoys providing internal Procore support and development. Procore connects the entire process, from bidding to closeout, with every team member, allowing everyone to work on the same system.
What is the best thing about your job?
The best thing about my job is my co-workers and the job responsibility variety.
What has been one of your proudest moments working at Price Electric?
I enjoyed fulfilling a support role in service after the Derecho hit. Here comes the storm, and people must come together as a team to figure out how to get people up and running with their electricity and what we can do as a company. When asked to help, I said, tell me what to do.
It was a lot of fun learning more about the service side and interacting with the whole crew from that side. I learned more about the system. I know I was helping. I enjoy being a helper.
You could tell that everyone was thankful in our community. They were thrilled to get a prompt call back after they left a message. They were grateful that they were going to be helped.
If you could pick one theme for Price Electric to turn into a book about the company, what would it be?
So many fun things are said around here, and the conversations afterward. Putting together a coffee table book with all the funny quotes would be fun. I laugh here every day, at least one hard laugh a day, just because everyone is fun! That is like the number one thing here, the people!
Do you have a favorite motto or quote?
Where is your hometown?
Rapid River, in the upper peninsula of Michigan, I am a Yooper!
What is one thing that you cannot resist?
Regular potato chips and French onion dip.
What has been your favorite project at Price Electric, and why?
I enjoy any project that helps free up the project managers’ workload so they can focus on higher-priority items.
