What are some of your roles and responsibilities?
As Price Electric’s Assistant Project Manager, Jen does a variety of support jobs including assisting in the bidding process, generating monthly reports, billing, documentation project updates and support and setting up jobs in computer ease and more. She enjoys providing internal Procore support and development. Procore connects the entire process from bidding to closeout with every member of the team, allowing everyone to work on the same system.
What is the best thing about your job?
The best thing about my job is my co-workers and variety of job responsibilities.
What has been one of your proudest moments working at Price Electric?
I enjoyed fulfilling a support role in service after the Derecho hit. Here comes the storm and people just must come together as a team to figure out how we can handle getting people up and running with their electricity and what we can do as a company. When I was asked to help, I said, tell me what to do.
It was a lot of fun learning more about the service side and interaction with the whole crew from that side. I learned more about the system. I know I was helping. I like to be a helper.
You could tell that everyone was thankful in our community. They were very happy to get a prompt call back after they left a message. They were thankful that they were going to be helped.
If you could pick one theme for Price Electric to turn into a book about the company, what would it be?
There are so many funny things said around here and the conversations that take place afterwards. It would be fun to put together a coffee table book with all the funny quotes. I mean I laugh here every single day, at least one hard laugh a day, just because everyone is fun! That is like the number one thing here, the people!
Do you have a favorite motto or quote?
Get’r done!
Where is your hometown?
Rapid River, in the upper peninsula of Michigan, I am a Yooper!
What is one thing that you cannot resist?
Regular potato chips and French onion dip.
What has been your favorite project at Price Electric so far and why?
I really enjoy any project that helps free up the workload of the project managers, so they can focus on higher priority items.
