What is the best part of your job?
Truthfully, the best part of my job is making my customers’ lives easier and teaching apprentices how to do this job to progress in their careers successfully.
Could you tell us about relocating from Robins’s Price Electric home base to Price Electric in Des Moines?
I was asked to relocate to Des Moines to help the Residential Division grow. It was an excellent opportunity. My wife and I both love Des Moines. It has been fun, and it has helped me move up within the company as well. I have enjoyed it so far and have succeeded in growing the Residential Business there.

I saw Beyonce at a concert in Chicago.
Where is the best place that you have traveled to?
When I was a kid, my grandparents took us to Virginia Beach, and we got to run across the beach. It was fantastic; we had a blast. My grandma, the safety captain she was, was scared that the waves would take me. That is one of the best places we have gone.
What is your favorite restaurant?
Hacienda Las Glorias in Cedar Rapids. I usually get the A La Mexicana.
What are some items on your bucket list?
I want to visit Jamaica, the mountains in Colorado, and go to the top of the Sears Tower in Chicago.
What advice would you give to someone considering working at Price Electric?
I just wanted to let you know that there is nothing to think about. The truth is, since I have been here, it is a great company. They take care of their employees the best they can. It is always an open-door policy. It has always been fantastic to party with your boss and co-workers when many people do not even know their boss. It is a fantastic group of people. I would not change it for the world. They give you all the tools that you need to succeed. They truly do.
You recently passed your Master Electrician exam. Could you tell us about that?
Essentially, this is the highest achievement as an Electrician. I can pull permits, design electrical systems, etc. It would allow me to go out independently if I chose…, don’t worry; I’m here for the long haul. It is just something I’ve always wanted to achieve in my career.
Do you have a mantra that you live by?
Reach for the stars. Don’t let anybody hold you back.
