One of the most significant advantages of working at Price Electric is its flexibility. I have the ability to create my schedule and ensure that I can attend all of my son’s home football games. He plays football at Bemidji State University in Minnesota, nine hours away. Our family needs to be present for every game.
What has been your favorite project at Price Electric, and why?
One of the most noteworthy projects I’ve enjoyed working on at Price Electric was a significant residential undertaking known as the Mahaffey job. It stands out in my memory because it involved numerous control panels that were all interconnected to a cutting-edge tablet system. Additionally, this project required extensive wiring, including installing LED specialty house lighting and pool wiring, which presented me with new challenges and opportunities to expand my skill set.
What is your favorite restaurant?
My favorite restaurant is Red’s Alehouse in North Liberty.
What was the best vacation you have had?
The most unforgettable vacation I’ve had was in St. Lucia. It was an incredible trip to an all-inclusive resort with a swim-up pool and easy access to the beautiful ocean beach steps away. We had so much fun going on a party boat excursion, ziplining through the forests, and playing golf. The food was delicious, and I couldn’t get enough fruit.
When are you the happiest?
My happiest moments are undoubtedly spent on the golf course. Golfing is a true passion of mine, and I make it a point to hit the greens as often as possible. My wife shares this enthusiasm, so we frequently enjoy golfing together.

What is your family like?
When it comes to my family, we are a very energetic bunch. We are hardworking individuals who are always on the move. In our free time, we enjoy attending concerts by artists like Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, and the Brothers Osborn. Additionally, my son managed his landscaping business alongside his school commitments while in college. On top of that, my daughter, a freshman in high school, is incredibly creative and sells her handmade jewelry to friends and on Etsy.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not at work?
Outside of work, I enjoy engaging in exciting activities and having a great time. Whether it involves cliff diving, bungee jumping, hiking, skiing down slopes, or playing golf with friends, I’m always up for an adventure or attending parties to unwind.
Name three things that most people don’t know about you.
- I was fortunate enough to receive scholarships for basketball and baseball during my college years in Nebraska.
- I played the viola for eight years as my parents insisted on it throughout grade school, high school, and even during church performances.
- I don’t particularly enjoy being in the spotlight myself. I love supporting my kids by attending all their games and activities.
